About the author

Writing has been Josie's passion ever since she was a young girl when her mother taped recorder her playing with dolls and helped her to write it down as an illustrated story...and she has been writing ever since. Some of her favorite memories are sitting at the New Jersey shore as a teen bent over a three subject, spiral notebook and creating stories. She created characters that said and did the things she could only dream of doing. Even then, putting her thoughts on paper was liberating and a bridge into a whole new world where dreams could become reality and the characters she loved became real.

Josie studied Creative Writing under Justin Cronin at LaSalle University in Philadelphia where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in English/Writing and a second in Psychology. While at LaSalle she was invited to work as a University Writing Fellow to provide one on one guidance and mentoring for both undergraduate and graduate students. After graduation, a passion for helping others and a desire to "changing the world" drove her into the fields of social work and education before returning to her first love of writing.

Today Josie is a lover of great books, wordsmithing, and teaching the craft to young aspiring writers at Online Scribblers. Seeing her beloved characters come to life and sharing them with friends, family, and unknown readers of the world has been a joy and adventure. She now lives in Southern California with her husband and three children and is working on her third novel.
